New Tango Project was founded in 2016 with the goal of fusing the genres of jazz and tango from a renewing perspective through original compositions. With a heterogeneous formation (bandoneon, electric guitar, double bass, and drums), the group revisits the roots of Argentine music and the essence of jazz, managing to build a unique identity and a modern sound that respects and draws inspiration from these genres.

Throughout their career, they have released three albums: “New Tango Project” (2017), “Caos” (2021), and “Fricciones” (2025), all produced and published by the record label FRESH SOUND RECORDS.

The group has performed in major venues and at numerous festivals, such as Mercat de Música Viva de Vic, Sala Montjuïc, Noches del Botánico, Festival Jazz Terrassa, Jazz al Pati, A Tot Jazz, Músiques del Món, Museu d’Història de Catalunya, Paral·lel 62, Café Berlín, and Bilbaina Jazz Club, among others.

In 2024, they took part in the TV series Citas Barcelona, where they also created part of the soundtrack.

New Tango Project stands out for its instrumental approach based on the balanced fusion of genres. Their compositions form an organic repertoire capable of captivating a diverse audience and awakening musical sensitivity beyond personal taste.
